Speech
Give a speech on your topic, lasting about 15 to 20 minutes. Your speech will be judged on the following criteria:
1. Whether you grabbed your audience with a story, an anecdote, a joke, or some such other attracting rhetorical technique.
2. Whether you engaged your audience with the style of your speech: appropriate pauses, emphasis, variation in tone, etc.
3. Whether you informed your audience with memorable details of knowledge you gained, with cites and references to source material. Caution, find a balance: details and quotes can be overdone.
4. Whether you kept your audience’s attention, kept them focused on your topic.
5. Whether you ended with an appropriate conclusion.
